Our new loco today undertook extensive trials on the Otter Ferry Light Railway. There were initial problems due to the high wind which blew the gas out a couple of times and then a further difficulty with the right hand side motion falling apart, which was quickly repaired in the OFLR workshops. After these teething problems No 2 performed very satisfactorily with both passenger and freight stock.
