About us

Geoff and Suki Linnitt have been running Gaira Driving Ponies since 2003 from our farm in South Ronaldsay, Orkney.

We used to own and run a small riding school but a back injury stopped Suki from riding about 18 years ago so carriage driving became the new horse activity and led to the business being started.  When we eventually started to drive a pair and realised that it was something we could share with others and both the ponies and ourselves get a great deal of enjoyment from sharing our hobby and meeting a lot of lovely people.

It is now 2011 and we have 2 Fells, a Welsh who all drive in a pair or singly.  We also have the original pony Bobbie who is semi retired and a 4 year old Fell who is currently in training to take Bobbie's place plus Hovis the little companion Dartmoor pony.
