HPT 4 Final Table

Blinds are now at 4,000/8,000
A few steady hands to start with until
Colin was again up against Karl who went all-in
for 44,000 with A K Colin calls with 4 4
cards come down 2 J 6 K 2 giving Karl
2 pair and a handsome pot.

Gareth was next to raise the blind to 10,000
Stewart re raised to 30,000 and Gareth calls
flop is 4 9 4 both players checked.
turn comes Q and again they checked.
River is K and Stewart bets 35,000 and
Gareth folds. Nice pot for Stewart.

Then we had a few all-ins with no takers then
there was action.
Preflop Colin raises to 20,000 ,Paul calls,Neil
goes all in with 36,500 but unlucky for Neil
the cards were not kind to him and Colin took
the pot with A A and Neil goes out in 8th place.

A few steady games with no takers for a while
then we had some action.

After the blind Tam goes all-in and after a bit
of thought Gareth decided to fold,showing a
pair of 5's. Tam did not show.

Stewart then raises the blinds to 20,000 pre flop
and Lucky Jim raised all-in for 53,000 total only
for Stewart to fold and Jim takes the pot.

Colin and Karl were involved in another tussle
with Karl raising this time to 30,000 after the flop,
proving too strong for Colin who folded.

A few more raises after the blinds with no
takers. No-one is ready to take the plunge just yet.

After a while Tam decides to go all in after the
blinds with 41,500,and Gareth calls. Tam shows K Q
and Gareth shows A Q and with the cards coming
2 6 17 10 9 Gareth takes a hefty pot and
Tam goes out in 7th place.

Next hand was between Stewart and Gareth ,
Stewart bets 22,000, Gareth re-raises to 44,000
then Stewart raises to 53,000 after the flop 9 8 J
Gareth goes all-in and Stewart calls. Gareth shows
7 7 and Stewart has 10 10. With the turn 6 and river 2
Stewart takes the pot and Gareth leaves in 6th place.

Blinds are now 5,000/10,000

Paul then raised the bet to 25,000 and Stewart
re-raised to 60,000 only for Paul to fold.

Jim then raised the bet after the blinds to 34,000
and Colin went over the top with an all-in bet of
70,350 more only for Jim to fold.

After the blinds Paul raises to 25,000 and Stewart calls
the flop comes K 5 3 and Stewart bets 34,000,Paul calls
turn is 10 and Paul raises to 65,000 Stewart calls
and river is K Paul checks and Stewart checks and shows
A 5 while Paul does not show and Stewart wins a
great pot.

Next game Paul raises to 25,000 and Stewart re-raises
to 60,000 with A Q while Paul folded but shows J 10

Karl raises to 25,000 and Paul went all-in with 97,000
and Karl calls showing A J while Paul shows J J
table reads Q 7 6 9 K so Pauls J's held up and
Karl leaves in 5th place.

Another few pre-flop raises with no takers, a quiet spell
in the game.

Pre-flop Colin bet 30,000, Paul re-raised to 100,000
Colin goes all-in for 140,055 and Paul called.
Colin shows K 9 and Paul shows A A .
cards go 8 8 J 2 4 meaning Pauls A A stood and
Colin finishes in 4th place.
Paul then took a nice pot from Stewart with a
pair of 4's and Stewart did not show.

Stewart re-raised the blind to 100,000 then Jim
goes all-in and Stewart calls showing K J while
Jim showed K A table reads 10 K 10 2 4 meaning
Jim takes a good pot to double up.

Stewart then managed to take a fair pot from
Paul when after the turn he raised to 75,000
only for Paul to fold. Stewart having a pair of 9's.

And again Stewart took a substantial pot after
Paul folded after a re raise by Stewart.

Paul recovered some of his chips from Stewart after
he bet 75,000 and Stewart folded.
Another couple of no games after the blinds with no action.

After the blinds Stewart raised to 25,000 then Jim
went all-in with 85,000 and Stewart called.
Jim shows 7 and 10 spades, Stewart shows Q 8 of
diamonds.
table reads 10 4 2 2 9 giving Jim a nice double up
with 2 pair 10's and 2's.

Next we had a 3 way game between Paul,Stewart and
Jim. Paul was first to bet and went 25,000 getting a call
from both Stewart and Jim. Stewart  then went for
35,000 getting a fold from Jim and a call from Paul.
The flop went A 4 A and both players checked.
Next came the turn 5 and both checked again. then
came the river a 9. Paul called 100,000 and Stewart
folded with Paul showing A 2 for 3 of a kind A's.

Jim was next to take a good pot by raising after
the flop to 50,000 with no takers.
After the blinds Paul raises to 35,000 getting an
all-in call from Jim. Paul shows A K and Jim shows
A 2 the cards come 6 8 4 8 A giving Paul 2 pair.
Unlucky Jim goes out in 3rd place.

First hand of the heads up went like this,
Stewart raises to 30,000 and Paul calls
Flop comes K J 8 Stewart bets 35,000
and Paul calls. turn comes 2 and Stewart raises
to 50,000 and Paul folds. Stewart shows a K and
Paul doesn't show.

Paul raises to 32,000 with a call from Stewart
flop is 3 6 K Paul bets 45,000 and Stewart folds.

Next two hands went nowhere then we had a
big one for Paul who raised to 45,000 after the flop of
Q K 7 Stewart called. then the turn came an 8 and
Paul went 100,000 only for Stewart to fold.

Stewart then raised to 30,000 Paul reraised
to 75,000 Stewart called. The flop came down
J Q 4 and Paul bet 85,000 and again Stewart folded.

Next hand .........Paul raised to 32,000 with a call from
Stewart, flop is 9 9 3 Stewart bet 50,000 and gets a call
from Paul turn card is a 6 Stewart bet 100,000 then
Paul goes all-in and Stewart calls. Paul shows 5 5 and
Stewart shows 5 3. river Q, means Paul becomes
HPT 4 Champion with 2 pair 5's and 9's.
