We had a steady start with nothing much happeneing.
 Till on table 5,A lovely flop came down to suit
Martin Gillespies hand of pocket Kings.
Two kings on the board gave him quad kings,
which you dont see that often.
Nice Hand Martin.
 
Shortly after Chris MacKay hit a full house
on the flop.8's full of A's for a nice pot
 
Still fairly quiet as we go into the second hour.
 
Ian Cannop took a nice pot
with a full house--9's full of 4's.
1st Man Down David Campbell Orkney
  
1st man to be put out was David Campbell to
Chris MacDonald. Chris who had A J
while David had a flush draw after the flop.
Unfortunatley for him the flush did not happen,
And an Ace on the flop took the pot
knocking out David.
Next to go was 2010 HPT 2 Dingwall Champion
Dave "The Scaff" McLachlan
 
Session 2  Blinds now 200/400
 
The next big pot went to Raymond Munro
 against Graeme Clifton.
The flop went 5 2 3 Raymond went all in
Graeme called.
They both turn over Graeme shows A 4
and Raymond shows 6 4
to win with the higher straight.

Next player to go was Susan F.
She bet all-in with a K Q
MarkUrqhuart called showing J Q.
Mark hit a J on the flop.
Susan out not her day at all
with 3 face card flushes
all getting beat. 2 against full houses
and 1 against Poor Charlie
who's A beat Susan's K.
Susan F back to work after exiting the tournament.
 
Donny Bain raised the blind to 5000  with K 10
and Ben Gunn called all-in with A Q
flop going 9 J Q poor Ben didnt have a hope
and the turn and the river did him no favours,
So he has to leave the tournament.
 
Next to win a sizeable pot was Andrew Gunn.
Graeme went all-in with his pocket A's
and Andrew called with J K.
 Graeme grimmaced at the sight of the board
as it read 8 Q J J 7 .
 
Shortly after Fraser Lewis went all-in
with K 8 and was called by Alan MacKenzie
who showed 10 10 unfortunatley for Alan
the board read 6 6 8 K Q .
He finished in 52nd place.
 
Blinds now at 400/800
 
Neil to Graeme and Johhny to Deano were next to go.
 
Susie hit a royal flush at this point but as she says
it wasnt played out UNLUCKY Susie.
 
In one hand the flop went 3 4 10 turn 4 river 2,
with a lot of pushing and shoving between
Fraser and Raymond
only for them to split the pot both having A K.
 
Lucky Jim MacGillivray was the next to bow out
with his AQ against Edgar Thompson's AK.
Edgar was lucky enough to get a K on the flop
and another on the turn to give him 3 of a kind K's
With 6 mins of level 4 to go
we are now down to 6 tables.

Voted best dressed dealer.
 
Raymond at this point went all in with K K
Fraser called with Q Q
and after the cards were played the K's held up.
 
Susie went just before the break to Euan Sutherland.
Susie was big blind 800 and Euan raised to 1600
Susie has A 7 so raises to 9000 flop comes 7 8 3
so Susie goes all-in and Euan callsshowing A K
and in Susie's own words she was £$%^&*
rivered with a K.
Susie was off round the hall getting an opinion from
anyone that would listen.
Did Euan make a good call or not?

Kevin Clifton went all-in and no takers showed K K
 
Adrian Davidson bet with Q 6 Dean O'Brien called with J J
which held up.
 
Yvonne(Babe) took a handsome pot from K Gillespie.
 Martin showed K 8
while Yvonne had 10 10 with the table giving nothing away,
Yvonne takes it down.
Can you guess Yvonne is happy?
 
Ian went all in with 6 6
and Martin Gillespie called him with A Q.
With nothing hitting again Ian doubles up nicely.
 
Sam Salim was the next to bite the dust
against William Hermitage.
Sam shows A J while William showed A K
and getting a K on the flop William takes it .

Ian Cannop (troutman) hit another big one
against Martin Gillespie.
Ian ,who showed pocket Q's against Martin's 7 8 suited
landed a full house for a substantial pot.
 
Next to go was Andy Gunn (Q 9) against A.MacDougall
with A K which hit 3 of a kind K's on the flop.
 
30 mins of this level left
and we are now down to 39 players on 5 tables.
 
Stavros was next to go out to Neil who had pocket Q's

after Colin produced the better hand.
 
Next excitment to Bear who raised to 5,000 pre-flop,
Dangerous Dave re-raises all-in with 6 6,
Gareth goes all-in with A K  
Bear then calls all-in with 10 10
flop comes down 10 2 8
turn 2 and river 7 giving Bear a smashing pot
with a full house.
Gareth leaves the tournament in 36th place.

Ian who's K's held up against Donny's Q's
 
Then it was Dangerous Dave's turn to go out against Euan.
Dave had A Q and Euan had A K and the board went K 4 8 Q 9.
Euan claims a nice pot.
 
Blinds are now 1,000/2,000
 
With A K clubs Dean went all-in.
Willie Ewart called him with A 10.
Willie takes a nice pot with 2 pair A's and 10's.
 
We are now down to 32 players on 4 tables.
 
First man out this session was
Bruce aka Batman to a Q flush from Mr Lapwood.

who was put out by Willie Hermitages J J
which stood and took a nice pot.

Now we have 28 players left.
 
Next to leave the tourney was Richard Lapwwod.
Richard went all-in after the flop with a flush draw
only for Ian to call with A Q  the spade was not happening
and Ian hit a Q to give him a pair.
Richard goes in 27th place.
 
Now for the tale of 2 full houses.
Ryan Sutherland raised preflop to 7000
and Alisdair MacDougall calls.
Flop comes 10-10-A both players checked
turn comes down Ace Ryan goes all in and Alisdair calls
showing Q-10 and Ryan shows A Q
river comes 7 Nice double up for Ryan
with A's full 10's and poor Alisdair had 10's full A's.
 
Raymond goes all-in for 6,500 with A Q and Fraser calls
with K Q with a Q on the flop they both have a pair.
But Raymonds Ace kicker holds up for a double up
.
Darren was next to double up off Poor Charlie.

with J J on the turn and river
the ace once again saves the day.
 
Now at the end of level 6
 
The blinds are now 1500/3000 with 26 players.
 
Now things were speeding up
with a few all-ins with no takers.
Next up was Ian Cannop who took 80 -90000 chips off
Mark Urqhuart with a A flush.

Tam was next to go to Raymond
Tam all-in with 15000 chips 7-7 Raymond calls with A J
Flop J-10-Q turn J and just to make Raymonds Day
he hit a K on the river to give him a straight
and Tam finishes in 26th place.

Then Alisdair left the tourney to Euan
who hit 3 9's against Alisdair's pair of A's.
We are now down to 24 players
and they now head off to bed or the bar.
 
DAY 2 blinds still at 1500/3000 for 10 mins.
 
   24 players for the final day with everybody eager to get started.
 
In the space of 10 mins we lost 2 players
Edgar to Ian
and Darren to Mark,
we are now down to 22 players.
 
After the blinds and the flop
Chris MacKay went all in with no takers.
After a few no taker hands the blinds went up.
 
Blinds now 3,000/6,000.
 
Colin(Chipmonkie) then put Fraser Lewis out.
Colin's  AK against AJ which hit on the flop giving Fraser a pair of J's.
Then Colin hit a K on the river to give him a sizeable pot.
Fraser finished in 22nd place.
 
All-in called from Celio with K Q
called by Paul MacKay with J 2
cards go 10-3-3-Q-J
giving Celio a nice double up to fight on.
 
After the flop Chris Mackay went all in
 with 7-10 the flop being 8-4-7
Ian Cannop called with A 5 turn was J but unluckily for Chris
Ian hit an Ace on the river.
Chris finishes in 21st place.
 
Paul MacKay then went out in 20th place
to Greg Crawford who showed  a full house.
 
Ryan was next to go when his three of a kind 9's
fell to a full house of J's full 9's by Ian Calder
Ryan finished in 19th place.
 
There was then a preflop all-in called by Neil MacKay
with J J Ian called with 5 10 of hearts but after the cards were laid
Neil doubled up with 2 pair.
 
Raymond went all-in with K Q
and Ian called with J J after the cards went down the J's
held up and Raymond left the game in 18th place.

Next out in 17th place was Willie Hermitage
to Charlie Cumming who had a pair of J's.

We are now down to 2 tables In just under an hour
we have lost 8 players.
 
Again we have a few all-in bets but no takers.
Next we had Ian Calder goes all-in with AK
and Alan Stewart with a shorter stack calls with QQ
with no A or K on the table Alan doubles up.
 
Chipmonkie was the next player to take a scalp
he knocked out Willie Ewart in 16th place.
 
Blinds are now at 4000/8000.
 
Players are being very edgy at the moment
with all-in calls not being caled.
 
Celio then got a nice double up against Alan Stewart.
He had J J which held up against Alan's A Q.
 
30 mins of these blinds
and things have chilled a bit with no great action.
 
Now we have some action
Ian Calder against Euan Sutherland
with a straight being produced on the table
and both players showing A K we have a split pot.
 
Then Greg Crawford goes all-in for 49,500 with A K
and Ian Cannop calls with 10 10
with the cards showing 5 Q 6 4 5
Ians 10's hold up and Greg finishes in 15th place.
 
After a lot of betting and calling
there was a lot of winning and losing
but nobody was shifting.
This was going to be a long day!!!!!!
 
Mark was next to leave in 14th position.
His A K beaten by Q Q with a Q on the turn.
 
Session 2 of Day 2
We are down to 13 players.
 
Blinds are 5,000/10,000
 
Pre-flop all-in by Ian Calder with 9 9
and Neil MacKay calling with A Q
gave us on the flop 7 K 5 turn A and river 8
giving Neil A A and Ian leaves the competition in 13th place.
 
Next out was Euan Sutherland who fell to Alan Stewart ,
who hit a 10 on the flop to give him a pair.
Euan finishes in 12th place.
 
In 11th place we saw Celio beaten
by Alan Stewart with A A against his K K.
Cellio Ferreira Alness Finished 11th
 
Next Yvonne tries an all-in pre flop but there is no takers.
 She shows a K K.
 
Charlies hits a nice double up with A A against Neil's A Q
With the last few hands just calls and no
takers things were slowing downjust a little until
pre flop Neil goes all-in with J 8
and Ian Cannop calls with J A
flop goes K 5 J turn 9 river 9 giving Ian 2 pair with A kicker.
Neil finishes in 10th place.

Now we have reached the final table
and early action indicates no-one is in a hurry as yet.
Then Ian took some chips off Charlie with 2 pair
having 7 7 in his hand and Charlie mucked.
 
Then there was six all-in or raises
with no takers so you could tell this was going to be long one.
Next Andrew raised to 37,500 with Colin going all in.
This must have put Andrew off because he folded.
 
And yet again a few all-ins with no takers.
 
Charlie won a nice pot against Andrew and Alan
who both folded after the flop with a raise from Charlie.
 
Now the players are having an hour break
to allow for something to eat
as it has been 6 hours since the start of day 2.
Now the blinds are 7,500/15,000
 
Next hand sees Andrew raise to 66,000 after the flop
with Charlie folding and Andrew shows A A
 
Now it was Yvonnes turn to go all in
after Alan bets pre-flop 50,500.
Alan calls showing A J while Yvonne turns over A K
the cards go 4 3 6 9 10
so Babe takes the pot with her K kicker.
 
A few bets again with no takers then fireworks
Ian raises to 35,000 Colin calls
flop is 10 2 2 Ian bets 50,000
Colin all-in
turn is 9 and river Q both players show 10 9 for a split pot.
 
Next hand after the blinds
Ian raises to 40,000 ,
Andrew goes all-in for 158,000
Ian folds the Andrew shows Q Q for a nice pot.
 
Then Graham raises to 40,000,
Charlie calls,Raymond calls flop comes down 4 10 4
Graham bets 62,500 and wins a decent pot after the other 2 fold.
 
Pre-flop Ian raises to 35,000,
Graham calls and Alan calls 10 K 10 went the flop
all checked turn was a 10 Graham bet 35,000
Alan called and Ian folded.
after the river 7 Graham checked
Alan bet 50,000 and that was enough for Graham to fold.
No show from Alan but a nice pot all the same.
 
Next we had another split pot with Charlie and Yvonne
who both had K's and 5's with an Ace kicker.
 
Now the blinds are up to 10,000/20,000
 
Still a few all-ins and no takers so it is still a bit slow.
 
After a few hands like this we had
Raymond going all-in and Andrew called him
Raymond showed 9 6
while Andrew shows Q Q which held up and
Raymond Munro Invernesswas out in 8th place.
 
 
Yet again many all-ins or large bets with no takers
Now we have action,
pre-flop Charlie went all-in with 75,000
Andrew went all-in then Alan went all-in
Charlie shows K K,
Andrew shows A Q
and Alan shows K K
The cards went A 4 A 9 Q
Andrew picks up a massive pot with a full house A's full Q's.
Poor Charlie was up against it and finished in 7th place.

Andrew then bet 60,000 pre-flop and Ian called
the flop came 7 2 8 Ian checks,
Andrew bets 65,000 Ian folds
and Andrew shows an 8 to take the pot.
 
After the blinds and flop of 5 6 3 Ian bets 50,000 
Alan goes all-in with 123,000 and Ian calls
the turn is 8 and the river Ace
Alan shows K Q while Ian shows K 10
giving Alan a handsome pot.
 
We now have a 20 min break.
 
Blinds will now be 12,500/25,000  
Blinds will now go up every 30 mins.
 
First we had 5 games with big bets but no takers,
then Colin hit a nice double up against Andrew.
 
Next game after the flop Andrew bets 50,000
and Graham went all-in with 130,000
Andrew called with 9 10 while Graham had A 3
the flop was 8 5 8 turn 6 river 8
Graham wins with high card A.
 
This next one saw Ian raise to 70,000
Alan calls all-in and Babe goes all-in
Ian shows 10 10, Alan shows J Q and Yvonne shows A K
flop comes J 5 K turn 7 river J 
Yvonne wins side pot Alan wins main pot
and Ian finishes the tournament in 6th place.

Another couple of all-ins with no takers .
 
The blinds now up to 20,000/40,000
 
And the story goes on all-ins and no takers.
Yvonne then takes a double up off Colin
when she shows a flush against Colin's pair of Q's
 
Then it is back to very cagey play with a few more no games.
 
Next Alan bets all-in  and Colin calls
Alan shows 8 8 while Colin shows J J
board shows 10 A 4 K 5.
Colin wins a nice pot and Alan finishes in 5th place.

Blinds are now up to 30,000/60,000
 
Yvonne goes all-in and Graham calls Babe shows J J
and Graham shows Q J
The flop goes K 10 8 turn is 9 and river 2
giving Graham a straight,
and Brave Yvonne is top placed lady in 4th place.
Well Done for that.
