Gets the tournament started
with 86 players on 11 tables
 including 6 women players.
After everyone was seated
the early entry raffle was held
and the winner was Joe " Baby Joe" Barbour
who wins a seat into HPT 2011.
 
Game commenced @ 12.45
with the blinds at 100/200.
After a quiet start with no big decisions being made
we had a 3 way play between Jason, Jonny and Robert.
After the blinds Jonny raised to all-in,
Jason called and Robert folded.
Jonny shows a pair of 4's and Jason shows As Ks. 
The flop went Kh 4s 2s.
 
Nervous moments for Jason.
He has turn and river to find a spade.
 
 
With the turn 10h and the river 5d
Jonny wins the pot with 3 of a kind 4's.
Unlucky Jason (aka Lizard) goes out first
but as a cosolation prize he wins a seat for next year.!!!!

Next action to talk about was Gordy MacKenzie
taking a nice pot against Mike Russell.
Mike shows QQ but Gordy had Quad 3's.
First hour up and no more casulties.
Next big pot comes with Bear up against Nathan.
 
Naithan McInnes finds a shoulder to cry on.
His good pal Ali Relish provides some comfort. 
 
Nathan bets all-in for 16800 with A clubs J spades
Bear calls with pocket A's 
flop falls 9c 8c 3h turn 6h 6c. Bears aces hold up and Nathan is out .
 
On another table there was great hilarity
as Hector "Hec The Wreck" Fraser goes all in with Pocket Ace's.

and Jonny living up to his name
goes all-in with 6 7 off suit.
Jonny hits the straight on the turn
and Hector leaves the competition.

 Rob left the game at this point to Harry Rae.
With 17 mins to go in the first session
we are down to 10 tables - 80 players
Gordy all-in for 4,600 with Ac Qh
Mike calls with Ad Js
flop comes down A 9 Q turn 3 and river 3
Gordy's hand holds up to keep him in.
John Farqhuar K 10 called Tom Reids all-in 7 9
 The flop comes Q 6 6 with the turn A and river A
with K high winning.
At the end of session 1
Chris Barclay left the tourney
Chris holding a flush lost out to the a nut flush
and he told me he was unhappy
but likes hugs from the muffin man...............

Blinds are now 200/400
At this stage Adrian went out to Stavros who hit a full house of 4's full of J's
 
Adrian may have looked happy arriving
but now it's time to leave not so happy
 
Graham Clifton then disposed of Robert hitting a flush and we are now down to 76 players.
next to fall was Rae Finlayson to Stavros who can't go wrong at the moment.

Calum McAndrew with K K called Kevin's 10 10 with the K'sholding up and Kein leaves the table.
We are now down to 9 tables.
Blinds are now 400/800
Bruce (aka Batman) left the game at this stage with his pocket J's beaten by AK(big slick)
With 4o mins left of session 2 we were down to 67 players with no massive pots until Robert (wildefish)Wilde knocked out Stavros with a pot of 100,000.
Susan F hit a good double up against Joe Barbour who had A 9 Susan hit the full house J;s over 8's

Things starting to heat up now with 5 mins of this blind left we have 62 players on 8 tables.
Best hand of the tournament so far goes to Euan Sutherland who increased his stack by 45,000 with Quad Aces.
Then there was a one hour break.
 
 
Session 3
 
 Blinds now 500/1000
David Campbell was the first casulty in this session.
A few all-ins had been called on various tables but there was no takers so it was steady play for a while
We are down to 7 tables.
Gordy went all-in for 5,000 with K 5 spades Susan calls with A 9 diamonds.
Flop comes A 2 5 turn 3 river 9 Susan wins with 2 pair A's and 9's.
 
Next to fall was Colin (chipmonkie)Tucker
to Jonny who raised with A J
Colin went all-in with J K
the board read 4 3 J 9 10. Poor Tucker.

with 10 mins to go we are down to 6 tables.
Now a bit of action between Chelsea and Scaffe. Scaffe went all-in with A K and Chelsea called with A J but the King held up.
Things were starting to heat up now as we need to be down to 3 tables before play finishes for the day.
Blinds now up to 1000/2000
Euan was next to go he had 2 pair but was beaten by a higher pair.
 
 
Charlie also went out at this point,
his pocket 4 4 beaten by a river Jack to give 
Stewart Atkinson  a pair of Jack's
 
Bear went all-in with J J to be called by Beavis with 7 7 The table reads 10 3 A 5 8 so Bear lives again.
 
 
We have 20 mins left of this blind and 39 players left.and down to 5 tables.

Session 4
 
Blinds now 1500/3000
Tracie was first out this session to Donald.
John Q 10 Newlands then fell to Norman.

Steve then went all-in and Jonny called Both had A's but Jonny won with a better kicker. 45 mins to go and now down to 4 tables.
Beavis was next to go up against Robert. Beavis raised and Robert called Flop came 8 K 8 Beavis went all in and Robert called ,turning over K 8 and Beavis showed A 6 . Nice full house for The Wildefish.
Susan was next to go against Norman whose A Q against Susans K 10 clubs hit a Q on the flop to give him a pair.
Down to 26 players.
Blinds now at 3000/6000
Next to go was Paul who's pocket 9's were soundly beaten by Steve who showed A J and the table showed J J 6 7 K. Paul finishes in 26th place.
Last player to leave the tournement on day one was Harry Rae who got pipped by Alans 2 pair 7's and 4's

DAY 2
Session 5
 
Blinds 3000/6000
First action of the day on Table 3. John Farqhuar went to Graham Clifford who showed Q J against John's Q 9.John finishes in 24th place.
Then it was table 1 action with Stewart (Q 7 ) against Chelsea (5 5) board reads 4 3 9 3 4 giving Chelsea 2 pair and Stewart leaving in 23rd place.
At this point there were numerous all-ins with no takers so play was cagey no-one wanted to leave!!!!
Table 2 action Ryan went all-in and Lucky Jim called.Ryan shows J Q and James Sows A 9 Ryan scored a J on the flop to live again.
At table 3 Alan went all-in and Raymond called. Alan turns over A A and Raymond 4 4 Alan hits an Ace on the river for a nice wee double-up.There was then a few small stacks going all-in with the small stacks doubling up.
Next player to leave was Donald Nicholson to Alan Urqhuart.
Then a few all-ins with no takers until Bear went all-in with K Q Norman calls with pocket 8's
Bear hits a K on the flop for a great double up.
Cautious play for a while with one or two small stacks getting a double up then Scaffe went all-in and Lucky Jim called Scaffe showed A 6and James showed Q J hearts the cards came down K 3 9 Q 6 Scaffe finishes to Lucky Jim who hit the Q
William Hermiston was next to go to Kevin Clifford who hit 2 pair on the flop.
Jonny then knocked out Norman ,hitting not only a pair of A's but a flush on the river.
Ryan then bet all-in with pocket 9's Steve called with J Q. Steve hits a Q on the river and Ryan finishes in 17th place. We are now down to 2 tables.
After the blinds were posted Busted Aces went all-in with A 4, Bear calls with 8 8 Busted hits an A on the turn to double up.
Blinds are now 4000/8000
Chelsea raised the bet to 20,000 with K K . Kevin Clifton called  all-in with pocket A's Chelsea called and the cards went 2 7 5 Q 9. Kevin takes the lot and Chelsea finishes in 16th place.

Dave takes a nice double up from Robert after going all-in preflop with A A against Roberts Q Q.
Dave hits an A on the flop.
A lull in play now with some calm steady betting and nothing happening. Then Kevin Clifton bets 40,000 then Jonny Cliffe goes all-in and Kevin calls. Jonny shows A Q and Kevin shows A K on the table the cards go J 5 3 4 J so Kevins K holds up and unlucky Jonny leaves the tournament.
At table 1 Raymond (our Thurso winner) bets 30,000 and Bear goes all-in with Pocket 10's and Raymond calls with A 6 the flop goes J 9 3 turn Q river 2 so this means a nice double up for Bear.
30 mins to go in this session and 14 players left and play is steady and not too heavy.
Table 2 sees some action now as Steve raises to 25,000 only for Graham Clifton to go all-in with 91,500 Lucky Jim call all-in and Steve then passes with pocket 8' James shows pocket Q's and Graham shows A K the cards turn up 9 7 3 A 9 giving Graham a magnificent double up.
Robert and Dave were up against each other with a nice pot of 150,000 only for both to turn up A K and they end up with a split pot.
After the blinds James goes all-in for 72,500 with Q Q and Kevin calls with J J Both players hit the flush but James' Q gives him the pot.
Out in 14th place was Dave who went all in with pocket 8's to be called by Dozy who hit 2 pair Q's and 10's

Session 2
blinds now 5000/10000
Early session action saw Raymond go 20,000 preflop and Lucky Jim called and raised to 30,000 flop goes 10 7 9 Raymond goes all-in with K Q Lucky Jim calls with 10 7 turn comes 3 with river 2 and Lucky Jim eliminates Raymond Taylor in 13th place.

A few steady hands follow. Steve went all-in after a flop of 10 3 2 with 142,000 Lucky Jim calls.Steve shows A K of hearts and Jim shows A c 10h turn comes 8 and river 7 Lucky Jim wins with the 10's and Steve leaves the tournament in 12th place.
After some more steady play Graham Clifton took a great many chips from Lucky Jim winning a massive 400,000 plus with a pair of queens.
Next big action involved Hazel, Busted Aces and Dozy. Dozywent all-in,Busted called and Hazel went all in Aces had 9 10 of clubs Dozy had A 9 , Hazels turns over 2 2 Table reads 6 3 2 J Q so Hazel knocks out 2 with 2's
We are now down to 9 players and now playing hand to hand. Two or three hands later we have all-in action against Alan and Robert. Alan goes first all-in for 55,000 with A 8 ,Robert shows A 9 with nothing on the table to help either player Robert wins with high card ace and 9 kicker.

Now the Final Table
Blinds are 5000/10,000 for 4 mins. No action to talk of yet.
Blinds then went up to 6,000/12,000
Lucky Jim and Hazel start the betting but when Lucky Jim raises to 55,000 Hazel folds giving James a pot of 100,000.
After more over the blind all-ins there have been no takers so we wait patiently for some action.After 1/2 hour of no action we have it now.
Douglas goes all-in pre-flop with 86,000 showing 6 6
Graham calls with Ac Kc  The flop comes up A 5 3 turn Q and river 3 giving Graham 2 pair A'sand 3's
Douglas finishes in 8th place.
After 6 more hands we get to see a flop with 3 players all checking Graham hit a pair of 3's on the river.
With 15 mins to go on these blinds all players are being cagey with flat calls or no takers on raises.
This steady play continued for a while when Graham raises to 42,000 and his brother Kevin re-raises to 100,000.and Graham calls. Flop comes 5 6 8 both players check turn comes K. Kevin bets 100,000 and Graham folds giving Kevin a nice pot and a wee bit of rivalry emerges among the brothers.
3 steady pots later the blinds now go up to 7,500/15,000.
Again steady calm play then LuckyJim raises Hazel calls Flop goes 4 5 8 turn Q river 10. Both players check and James takes the pot with pocket 2's.
Next action Alan raises to 40,000 and Kevin calls  flop shows J 4 A Kevin calls 30,000 ans Alan goes all-in.Kevin folded and Alan shows K K.
After 2 or 3 hands were played we hit MEGA POT TIME Kevin raises pre flop to 60,000 Hazel goes all in with 156,000 Lucky Jim goes all-in and Kevin calls Hazel shows Q Q James shows A K and Kevin shows K K Flop comes 8 3 A turn 2 and river 5 Lucky Jim wins this massive pot and unlicky Hazel goes out as last lady in 7th place.
After 30 mins on this blind Kevin raises to 45,000 he gets a call from Robert Flop comes 6 7 A and Kevin bets 45,000, Robert folds and Kevin shows K K.
A few steady games once more  then Kevin raises to 45,000 preflop and Robert calls.Flop shows Q 4 7 both players check then turn comes 6. Kevin bets 45,000 Robert over the top goes all in and Kevin calls River brings A Robert has Q Q and Kevin shows 7 7 giving Robert a smashing double up.
Next game Allan goes all-in for 186,500 with A K and Graham calls with pocket 9's. the board shows 4 2 6 7 4 . Grahams pocket pair hold
 
so Allan leaves the tournament in 6th place.
 
After a few more hands Bear manages to double up against Graham with both players hitting 2 pair but Bear had the better kicker.
Now it was Kevins time when after going all in and Robert calling he hit a flush on the river to stay alive.
Then it was the turn of Bear and Kevin to produce something. Bear raises to 46,500 pre-flop ,Kevin goeas all-in and Bear calls Kevin shows Ad8s and Bear shows Ah and Kh table produces 3h Qc Qd 10d and 10h to give us a split pot for about the fourth time.
Blinds now up to 10,000/20,000
After 4 hands we get more action Bear goes all-in for 132,500 with 6 6 and LuckyJim calls with A K flop shows A 6 9 turn 4 and river J to give Bear 3 of a kind. Then there was a few hands with raises but no takers then preflop Lucky Jim raises to 40,000 Kevin called and Graham called flop shows 2 K 10 James calls 40,000 Graham folds and Kevin goes all-in James calls and shows 10 Q Kevin shows K Q flop comes down 2 K 10 turn K river Q Kevin wins this sizeable pot with his J kicker.
Bear then hit a pair of     Kings against Lucky Jim for a nice double up again. The it was the turn of the split pot again.with Bear showing pocket 5's against Robert.only for the table to read 7 8 8 3 7 Bear goes OH NO NOT AGAIN...............
For the next while it was all steady with no excitement and after the blinds and flop if anyone raised the cards were folded.Then pre flop Kevin raises to 50,000, Robert re-raises to 140,000 then Graham goes all-in with 625,000. Robert then calls and shows Q Q with Graham showing A K then the flop comes 7 4 J turn shows 5 and Robert collects this sweet pot with a Q on the river.
Things slowed down a bit and there was no real action for a while with Kevin going all-in 5 times with no reply. Later after the blinds the flop comes 10 2 9 Graham bets 60,000 and Lucky Jim goes all-in with Graham calling. Lucky Jim shows J 8 and Graham shows J 10 turn comes Q and river K to give them a split pot of 342,500 apiece.
 
Now we have a well deserved break.
 
Blinds are now 12,500/25,000
 
After a couple of no show games Kevin called all-in with A 7 off suit.
 Only for brother Graham to call him with K Q off suit.

Graham 2 pair and put paid to his brother in 5th place!!!!! After a few more hands with no callers Graham raises to 60,000 pre flop. Bear goes all-in over the top and Graham calls. Bear shows A A Graham shows 8 8 table comes up J 9 7 3 J giving Bear another sweet double up.Very little action at the moment till Lucky Jim takes a reasonable pot off Wildefish after hitting a straight on the river.Next hand Lucky Jim bets 60,000, Robert calls, Graham goes all-in , James calls Robert folds showing 9 9 . Graham shows Q Q James shows 8 8 and the cards come up A K 5 2 5 giving Graham a smashing pot and Lucky Jim leaving the tournament in 4th place.Then there was 3.........
It seems graham can do no wrong at the moment because after 2 hands Bear goes all-in with 202,500 and Graham calls. Bear shows K Q while Graham turns over A Q table reads K 8 A 10 2 giving Graham a pair of Aces and Bear finishing in 3rd place.
Now we have a heads up with GRAHAM CLIFTON against ROBERT WILDE(Wildefish)
First hand of heads up produces a good pot of 160,000 Robert turns over 5 5 and Graham has 6 7 and wins when the table shows 10 4 7 5 3 giving him a straight on the river.
Robert then takes a decent pot with 3 of a kind 7's
A couple of games down with no action the Blinds are now 20,000/40,000
Cagey play between the 2 of them and the blinds going from end to end for a while Robert raises to 100,000 preflop Graham calls flop comes 5 6 K Robert bets 120,000 Graham calls turn is 3 Robert bets 120,000 and Graham raises to 360,000 and after a long think Robert folds giving Graham a very nice pot.
After this a few hands went back and forth and there is nothing exciting yet!!!!!!
It went like this till Robert raised to 100,000 preflop Graham calls flop is J 10 8 Robert bets 100,000 Graham calls turn is 6 Robert checked Graham checked river 9 Robert bets 120,000 Graham call raises to 360,000 making Robert go all-in Robert shows K Q and Graham shows A 7.Robert wins with higher straight. After a few more hands of nothing happening Graham managed to win a decent pot before the break with a higher straight than Robert.

Now the blinds are 30,000/60,000
A few more hands of nothing happening nobody wanting to make the all important move as yet.
Graham raises preflop 160,000 and gets ba call from Robert flop shows J 4 6 Graham checks, Robert bets 100,500 Graham calls turn 2 Both check river A Graham calls 200,000 and Robert folds. Graham showed his A at this point.
Robert goes all-in with 80,000.

and Robert shows A K
Table reads Q 2 8 9 8 Robert fights on!!!!!!!!!!!!
