The poker area set up and ready to go

Nervous players just prior to the start of the tournament

Game on early in the tournament Susie Donaldson (Head dealer) and just on her shoulder Host, Player and Sponsor Sean Kennedy

Still early in the tournament standing up to deal another of the tournament sponsors Adrian Gray (AJG Parcels)

Another early tournament snap Lucky Jim MacGillivray has to be pictured from the back in case he breaks the camera

Another early table and bottom left Alex Burton fresh from his tournament success in Luton after scooping £6000 and a GUKPT seat

Not long into the tournament and standing up to take a bow Susan Findlay Highland Pokers new roving reporter. From HPT 3 Inverness Susan will be reporting on the tournament over all and for a small fee will listen with sympathy and report on bad beats

Another table overloaded with character center stage Ray Finlayson (Dingwall) fresh back from a trip he had won online to Las Vegas. Also center stage Stewart Atkinson (Fort William) Stewart will quote odds on any hand with computer like accuracy whether requested to do so or not.

Three more characters here Hear no evil see no evil and speak no evil. Left to right Gareth "The Banker" Hockin. Aonghas MacIver the best poker player in Inverasdale (Where is Inverasdale?) Last but not least Mr. Cool  Tam Findlay.

Another character Nathan MacInnes trying to give an ice cool appearance but if you look closely you can see his heart beat

Brothers Colin and Sandy MacKenzie trying to move in on Susie. They had better look out the last poor sucker that did her a favor was told in public that he was rubbish because it was over in a flash

Tournament now getting to a serious stage couple to go till the last 16

Tournament now getting to a serious stage couple to go till the last 16

Don't get confused this lot never got to the last 16. In fact it's the "Muckers Table" More commonly known as Little Fort William

The final table Left to right Player Dave "The Scaff" McLaughlin (Alness) Player Gareth "The Banker" Hockin (Alness) Head Dealer Susie "The Wrecker" Donaldson (Tain) and Heck "The Wreck" Fraser (Dingwall)

More final table players Colin Campbell, Chealsea McGhee both Fort William and Gary Sutherland (Invergordon) Apologies to Graeme "Beavis" Mooney and Stewart Atkinson the photographer seems to have missed you at the final table. It was at this point we had the hand of the tournament. Chealsea under the gun moves all-in. The Banker (with a B) also moves all-in next to act Heck the Wreck also declares he's all-in then Graeme "Beavis" Mooney all-in. If this had happened online you would bet the mortgage it was fixed. Chealsea shows KK the Banker shows AK clubs Heck the Wreck shows QQ and last to show Beavis AA. At this stage Beavis's AA is 67% to win. Beavis has everyone covered in the chip count we could lose 3 players. Taking a few moments to sort out the pot we end up with a main pot with all four players involved 1st side pot with Chealsea, The Wreck and Beavis. A 2nd side pot with The Wreck and Beavis. That's us ready for the flop. Blank, Blank then the case K. Chealsea ahead the rest left with little chance of catching another two blanks and the first two pots belong to Chealsea. Beavis collects pot 3 and actually makes profit from the hand. We have lost Gareth & Hector.

3rd place finisher Chealsea McGhee (Fort William) receiving her medal from Colin "The Chipmonkie" Tucker

Left to right Dave McLaughlin (Alness) receiving his winners medal. A pretty shady looking Chipmonkie and Colin Campbell (Fort William) receiving his runner-up medal.

Highland Poker would like to thank all sponsors and players for making HPT 2 Dingwall the success it was. Please feel free to post your comments on the forum with any suggestions as to how we could improve your weekend experience in future events.
