Fortrose secured a great result in the Highland Amateur Cup quarter final yesterday when they managed a 1-1 draw away to a strong Castletown team in Caithness.
Stuart Lockhart gave Fortrose the lead midway through the second half but Fortrose were pegged back when Castletown fortuitously equalised on 70 minutes. Fortrose had the best of the chances in an even match with both Calum Martin and Kevin Keith passing up good opportunities in the second half.
Fortrose were delighted with the draw though and will feel confident going into next satudays replay at the King George V in Fortrose.
