PERFECT DAY
PERFECT DAY Fortrose Union marched into the quarter finals of the Highland Amateur Cup yesterday when they beat a tough Thurso Accies side 2-1 at King George V in Fortrose. On a perfect afternoon for football both sides tried to get the ball down and pass it but it was the home team who dominated the match. Kevin Keith was in sparkling form up front and Stuart Lockhart put in a strong performance in the middle of the park to help the team secure the victory. Goals from Callum MacIver and Calum Martin helped Fortrose bounce back from a goal down to win the match. MacIver volleyed home superbly on 76 minutes after yet another bustling run and Martin produced a moment of magic when his clever run was capped by a cool finish on 81 minutes. Well done to the whole team and good luck in the next round!
