Fortrose enjoyed a memorable win in the 3rd round of the Highland Amateur Cup yesterday when they defeated Wick Rovers 1-0 after a titanic struggle. In a match where Fortrose at times rode their luck they were eventually rewarded for their hard work. The only goal of the encounter came in the 67th minute when Gordon Whyte forced an own goal after a great team move exposed the Wick defence. A great day was made all the better thanks to the warmth and gererosity of the hosts and Fortrose will look forward to meeting Wick Rovers in the future.
