A last gasp Calum Martin free kick secured a well earned point for a battling Fortrose side in what was an exciting 4-4 draw. Fortrose raced into an early two goal lead with strikes from Simon Etheridge and Callum MacIver before two Steven MacLean freekicks levelled things up at half time. The second half was an open affair with both sides feeling they missed chances to win the match. Avoch took the lead through a well worked Fraser Hutchison goal only for Ian MacKay to equalise with a spectacular 18 yard header. Avoch thought they had won it with a scrappy goal late on but Fortrose never let their heads go down and in the last minute Calum Martin produced a moment of genius taking a quick free kick into the unguarded net. Avoch were left stunned and the Union could have gone on and won it. Well done the lads!
