9/7/07 - FORTROSE 3 - 4 AVOCH
Fortrose lost out in a tight derby match that could have gone either way. Avoch set out their stall to bully the young Union side but the home team battled well throughout despite near constant fouling from their illustrious opponents. Kevin Keith gave Fortrose the lead within a minute but the home side trailed at the break after two quick fire headers from Avoch. The second half was full of incident but it was the away team who snatched the win late on. Patrick McGarvey with a penalty and Brendan McGarvey with a superb header got the Fortrose goals whilst Michael Kerr saved yet another penalty. The team did themselves proud and need to regroup ahead of next week's crucial tie vs Culbokie.
