FORTROSE 2 - 0 RAIGMORE

FORTROSE eased to a comfortable victory in their final practice match   of the spring as they prepare for saturdays league encounter with Gairloch.Fortrose dominated the match from start to finish and were able to rotate the squad without affecting the performance.

On a day that saw both teams struggle with a terrible pitch the Union never looked like losing. Davy MacIver gave the home side the lead on 20 minutes when he stole in behind the visiting defence and guided a clever flick past the goalkeeper. MacIver was causing his markers all kinds of problems and it was he who set up Fortrose's second on the half hour when he found Kevin Keith with a great through ball. Keith made no mistake as he rounded the keeper and fired into an empty net. Fortrose made several changes at half time and although the second half was more even the result was never in doubt. Robert Hillis shone a a substitute and Brendan McGarvey is getting back to his best as he controlled the match from centre midfield.

Line up :- Jarred Simpson; Garf Williams (Trialist 45), Alan Cuthbert, Fraser Hutchison, Ian MacKay; Keith Abernethy (Robert Hillis 55), Brendan McGarvey, Stuart Lockhart, Patrick McGarvey (Robert Keist 75); Davy MacIver (Trialist 45), Kevin Keith (Paul Urquhart 60).
