Simon Etheridge has been voted league player of the year following at meeting of the league committee on 29/8/6. Simon shares the trophy with Andy Keverin of Gairloch who recieved the same number of votes. Simon has had a truly awesome year for the Union and his goals will be sorely missed next year when he moves to pastures new. Simon scored 21 goals in 17 games for Fortrose and a fair few of those were memorable efforts including a brilliant brace in the Highland Amateur Cup quarter final vs Castletown. Everyone involved with the club would like to say well done and good luck to Simon but above all, thanks for a great year at the Union!
