HISTORIC VICTORY
Fortrose won through to the Highland Amateur Cup semi final yesterday when they defeated Caithness side Castletown 3-0 in front of a big crowd in Fortrose. Simon Etheridge was the hero for the Union with two goals and he also won a penalty that Iain MacKay converted. Strong performances from Kevin Keith, Jake Cooper and Stuart Lockhart also deserve a mention. However, it was the overall togetherness of the team that allowed Fortrose to dominate the match from start to finish. Fortrose now face the holders and favourites Lochs in the semi final it what should prove to be a tremendous game. The tie will be played in Culbokie on August 12th.
