An incredible week with the lake full last Sunday with anglers all on the bank.  Due to more favourable wind conditions the trout were caught all around the lake.  The fish went mad with the first of buzzer hatches.  Orange on flies working well.  

49 rods caught 204 fish rod av 4.16 

Paul Francis 14 around 2lb on a mixture of buzzer and bloodworm. 

Pete Cleaver 9 around 2lb and 6lb rainbow on an orange blob. 

Neal Hume 6lb rainbow orange zonker,  Simon Vorley 5lb rainbow buzzer and Pete Greenwood 4lb rainbow green nymph. 

Most fish caught between surface and 5' down,  odd fish to dry fly and sedges. 

 

Important note can all anglers ensre they use a longish handled landing net,  river style spoon nets are unsuitable due to heights of banks.  Dragging catch and release fish or any fish onto the bank is not acceptable! 

 

Another fresh stocking of 250 fish around 2-2.5 went in yesterday to continue good sport overvthe Easter break coming up.
