39 rods caught 114 fish rod av 2.92 A little harder this week as the trout taking small buzzers and dry flies on or near the surface, a case of presenting your flies right and retrieving at the speed the fish want it. Green or black buzzer, PTN and odd small sedge patterns working. Many anglers saying they are hooking lots of fish playing them for a good while, only for the fish to throw the hook. Only explanation I can think of is that the trout are taking small food items that are in abundance and not snapping or swallowing aggressively. Anyway some great sport up and near the surface. Wayne Taylor had a great day fishing a green lure 8 rainbows between 2- 3lb. Ian Potter 4 rainbow on mini deer hair sedge on the top 2- 2.5lb. Chris Edwards 4 to 2.5lbs on green buzzer including a nice brownie. A little amount of blanket weed now coming up in the margins but not much of a problem, just need anglers to make sure released fish get through the weed into deeper water. Thanks Pete
