Mike Elliot from Whittington had a battle like no other to land the beast on a very chafed fluoro hooklink.

The 70 year old, with some help from other members, weighed the fish which was verified by Fishery Manager Pete. The big cat was released in good health.

It weighed 45 lb 9oz:  this is now a new Fisherwick record. The fish has put on 3 lb 11 oz in 12 months, which is good growth rate.

We expect this fish to be knocking on the 50lb mark at the end of this summer. The big girl took a single cell homemade boilie close in from the big point peg.

Well done to Mike who will get a free session next time.
