28 rods caught 106 trout 3.7 rod avge.

A Pearce  had 5 fish bag limit plus 3 caught and released on buzzers and sunburst dancer. Fish were from 1.5lb to 3lb .

Loads of fish falling to varied buzzer patterns now. Odd dry and hoppers working well.

Bloodworm and damsel nymphs worth a swim too.

Another stocking of 200 rainbows gone in today, plenty in the 2lb to 3lb range.

On the specimen lake

35 carp reported to us this week caught and plenty 20lb plus.

Day ticket angler Alan Davies had a great day banking 3 twenties. 24lb 12oz mirror, 21lb 8oz mirror and 21lb carp. Also two doubles, 15lb and 16lb carp.

Jamie Tandy caught 7 carp good doubles and a 22lb mirror.

Paul Taplin 22lb common and Phil Locke a 21lb 2oz common.

The catfish are really motoring round the lake hoovering the bait up. They are getting very fit too, so anglers are advised to make sure knots and tackle are up to the job. A 15lb mainline is recommend and suitable hook-length to match.
