 OLD MINE ADIT An old mine entry to the SW of Douglasdale. There was a Lime works and Shepherds cottage at this remote site until forestry was planted out in the 70's and 80's. |

 RAF CRASH SITE RAF Hawker Typhoon MN532 crash site on Stony Hill. The plane crashed on 27th March 1945 killing pilot Robert Samuel Bellis age 20. The Napier Sabre engine was recovered by an aviation museum a few years ago. |

 Townhead of Hardrig cottage Townhead cottage was part of the historic Hardrig estate of Douglas. This comprised of Gateside,Weston and Midtown of Hardrig, Townhead and Townhead cottage of Hardrig , Elvinside and Jeanfield. |

 THE TUNNEL,WINDROW GLEN,DOUGLAS The tunnel was built to bridge the Windrow Burn for the Lanark to Muirkirk extension of the railway through Douglas West. This is still an impressive feat of engineering over a hundred years on. It is a must to see when in full flood. |
