The fair held on Saturday 11th October outstripped any of our expectations - as it was the first such event to be held in this area we had hoped to have an attendance of around 200 people.

We actually had in excess of 600 people through the door with people waiting to get in at 11 o'clock.

After expenses a magnificent sum of £687 was raised towards refurbishment of the Social Club building.

It is hoped that for the 2009 fair we will have an additional 10 display tables including rally cars, dolls houses, 1:24 scale hand liveried lorries, a wider range of buses, more working models, a greater range of cranes and eartmovers and also some aircraft.

Due to limitations of space in the existing building we may be required to relocate in 2010 to the Dornoch Schools Sports Hall which should be built by then. This will more than double the floor space available and hopefully turn our show into one of the major events in Scotland.

We have forged close links with Caithness Model Makers & Collectors Club, Inverness & District Model Railway Club and Pentland Model Boat Club. We intend to keep you up to date with each club's activities and shows.

For all of you who were disapointed not to win the Kinlochbervie Fish Selling lorry in this year's raffle we have purchased another one plus a Bannermans of Tain for inclusion in next year's raffle.
