Saturday Outings for 2024-25
Saturday 5th October – Dores. Beach and paths alongside Loch Ness and through woodland towards Aldourie. Approx 3 miles. 01381 621249
Saturday 2nd November – Silver Bridge circular. Through woodland beside the Black Water, crossing the river on old stone bridges at each end. Approx 2 miles. 01349 867224
Thursday 2nd January – President’s choice. Details later.
Saturday 1st February – Alness. Stroll along the Averon river downstream towards Dalmore Pier (Yankee Pier). Approx 2 miles, or 3 if you go to end of pier. 01349 830325
Saturday 1st March – Nairn. Our walk will be up the side of the river as far as Firhall Bridge and back the other side. Should have lots of spring flowers and maybe birds like goosanders and dippers on the river. Approx 2 - 3 miles. 01349 292676

Thursday 17th October – Maryburgh. Tallysow Woods – mostly flat paths through beech woods. Hope for autumn colours and fungi. Approx 2 miles. 01381 620741
Thursday 21st November- Inverness. Ness Islands – level walk on paths or pavements with fine views of River Ness and the Castle. Approx. 1 ½ -2 miles. 01349 867224
Thursday 16th January – Evanton Woods. Various walks through this community managed woodland. Views of river and maybe if you want to go to end of piervisit to Black Rock Gorge. Approx 2 miles. 01349 830325
Thursday 20th February – Dingwall. Mitchell Hill circular through cemetery and return to Pitglassie Farm. Great views of area. Approx 2 miles. 01349 867224
Thursday 20th March – Avoch. Rosehaugh - circular walk in the estate passing original garden and mausoleum. Interesting trees, architecture and spring flowers. Approx 1-2 miles. 01381 621040
