stepped gables
With an interest in regular geometrical forms, my attention was initially drawn to the patterning of the crow-stepped gables. The cubic structures reveal an order which is particularly beautiful against the wealth of changing sky tones.
The various colours of the painted gables, the natural yellow/orange sandstone colours, as well as the crisp, fresh white of most, are vibrant and harmonious in the environment.
