Repertoire

Classic Swing play an entertaining and melodic program of the great music of the Swing, & Jazz era, plus a selection of songs from the Great American Songbook.

Our repertoire includes several hundred titles, including music written by the best of the great American composers such as George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, etc.

We also play music made famous by the leading Jazz figures of the 20th century, including Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Benny Carter, etc.

Our vocalist sings an interesting selection of material, including material from the Great American Songbook, songs performed by the likes of Billie Holiday, Maxine Sullivan, etc.

We also have a selection of original arrangements written specifically for the current lineup by our friend Mr Tommy Moran

A typical program would include elements from all of the above, sometimes incorporating new material to our repertoire to keep the presentation fresh !
