Catherine Smith BSc LCHE

I grew up with homeopathy in a family where conventional medicine and homeopathy were used together with the aim of using the best that both approaches had to offer. I continue to advocate the use of all safe and effective treatments both conventional and complementary, with the aim of restoring and maintaining optimum health.

Homeopathy really came into it's own for me when I had my own children as I preferred to use as much natural medicine as I could for them whenever possible. I found that regular homeopathic treatment helped me enormously in coping with illness and the demands of caring for a growing family.

The invaluable support I received from my homeopath inspired me to train as a homeopath myself in order to offer to others the same pathway to health that I have been so grateful for.

I graduated from the Centre for Homeopathic Education in 2010, and have been treating clients with homeopathy ever since.

Before having a family and training as a homeopath, I trained as a classical ballet dancer at Central School of Ballet in London. This leads me to a particular interest in treating dancers and performers of all kinds. With the insight I gained from my own training, and my ongoing participation in classes, I am able to really understand the rigours and demands of a life in the performance arts, enabling me to offer treatment that addresses the particular needs of dancers and performers.

Now, in my spare time I help to run my local WI, encouraging women of all ages to get together, discover new interests and friendships and make a difference to the local community.

I also write regular articles for a local magazine on health related topics.
