Cairngorms LBAP

The Cairngorms Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP) is the result of joint working by all the members of the LBAP partnership. This group of organisations also employs the Cairngorms Biodiversity Officer - a post which is currently shared by Stephen Corcoran and Justin Prigmore.

LBAPs are a way of stimulating effective local action for those national priorities, as well as for species and habitats that are particularly cherished or valued in local areas. With this in mind, the CNLBAP has tried to stimulate actions for biodiversity across the whole Cairngorms area, quite literally from within the heart of villages to the upper levels of the mountains. At the same time, it has tried to help people appreciate that protecting, enhancing and valuing the wildlife of this fantastic area is both nationally important and enjoyable.
