16 February 2018Catering Manager Vacancy

The Club regrets to announce the departure of Jackie Wood for personal reasons. Jackie has boosted turnover and profitability of our our catering service and will be missed. Jackie has received a personal letter from me thanking her for valuable contribution. Jackie's departure leaves us with a big void to fill in our immediate catering commitments to our clients. The Club is in emergency planning mode to meet these obligations. Feelers have already been put out to traditional back-up providers but any suggestions and practical help from you the members would be welcome.

I am attaching a poster which which will advertised on our own social media sites and in the Club.

Fortunately , the Club is now in a strong financial position to consider a number of options but we would prefer to keep and enhance voluntary cooperative culture we have nurtured in these early years.

Kind Regards ,   Arthur Collinge
    Chairman

16 February 2018Social Secretary

My name is Linda Gadd and I'm a Trustee and committee member of the Bro Myrddin Bowls Club. The committee thought is would be a good idea to have social secretary whose major role it would be to advise all members and ex-members of social events that are planned so that everyone has the opportunity to join in.

There are a number of non-bowling activities that are held on a regular basis at the club, these are:

Garden Club - 1st Monday of each month (7pm to 9pm)
Camera Club - every Thursday (7pm to 9.30pm)
Bingo and Raffle - every Friday (7.30pm)
Please contact the club (01267 236249) should you require more details.
Information regarding additional activities will be sent when finalised.

Also the club now has mail pigeon holes situated just outside the main office, it would be appreciated that when you visit the club you could just check to see whether you have any club mail.

If you change your email could you please advise me so that the database can be kept up to date.

Finally, the database will be confidential and will only be available to Bro Myrddin Trustees and Committee Members, however if you would rather not receive information please advise me and I will remove you from future distribution.

Thank you     Linda Gadd
