Mark now has over fifteen years experience using intravenous sedation to treat anxious patients both in hospital and in general practice. Intravenous sedation can be used to facilitate all aspects of dentistry where the patient wishes to remove stress and anxiety. Treatments available with Mark using sedation include cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatments, dental implants and wisdom tooth removal. In addition patients with a strong gag reflex can also be treated more successfully with intravenous sedation.
Mark is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry, the organisation at the forefront of postgraduate training in conscious sedation. Given Mark's surgical background he has a particular interest in the provision of dental implants and the removal of wisdom teeth using sedation.
