Harrogate & District Football League AGM 

The Harrogate league held their AGM last night and rather surprisingly the proposed constitution was rejected by the clubs.

A late entry for application to the league by "Leeds City" caused much debate and it was decided by all  clubs that they would not be entered into division three, as suggested by the Harrogate League, but would be entered into Division Two. The clubs fealt that following Yorkshire Amateurs running away with Division three in 2007 and Westbrook in 2008 it is unfair on teams in Division three to have a third succesive season with a team that appears to be far to strong for the division.

This meant bad news for Wetherby Athletic "A" who will now remain in division three.
