As Bramham took to the field it was clear to see some minds were still on Saturday night’s shenanigans. So it was no surprise Bramham found themselves 1 nil down after 20 minutes. The home side however were back level straight away after some great link up play down left. Dowson danced past 3 defenders and squared the ball for Linyard to slide home from 2 yards.

 

After a stern talking to at half time Bramham knew they had to up their game. On 60 minutes Dowson broke the offside trap to lob the keeper from 30 yards after a great through ball from Farthing. From then on it was all one way traffic. Bramham were starting to dominate in all areas with Jones in particular pulling the strings in the centre of the park. Linyard grabbed his second with a cool finish after yet again being set up by Dowson. 10 minutes later Linyard completed his hat trick with a cheeky toe poke from 15 yards. York scored again in the last 10 minutes but this mattered little as Bramham were worthy winners in the end.

 

This was a great team performance with anyone of 8 players worthy of man of the match. Jones however slightly out performed close contenders with a work-man like display. Linyard must surely keep his place up front after scoring 4 in 2 games, he also managed to silence his critics, for now……..
