Bramham Res 3 Pannal A 2
21 March 2009

Another Saturday and another crucial fixture in the promotion run in as Pannal came to Freely Lane as one of two clubs who could potentially do the double over Bramham.

There was little between the two sides in the opening minutes although Bramham looked the more likely to open the scoring. On 20 minutes Jacklyn broke away down the left flank and drove for the box and was duly upended for a stonewall penalty confidently converted by Roberts.

The lead was shortlived as Pannal were gifted a goal when their striker was left unmarked 8 yards out and smashed the ball passed Taylor in the Bramham goal.

On 35 minutes Bramham were ahead again when Wild headed on from a Roberts throw allowing Birdsall to ghost in with a flying near post header.

Once again Pannal were quick to draw level  as the static Bramham defence watched Pannal steel in to score from close range.

The second half provided few chances for either side but the better of these fell to Pannal as Taylor was the busier of the keepers, pulling of a high quality save from a free kick on 75  minutes

Just as the game looked to be drifting towards a draw Wild who had been short of quality service all afternoon, collected a ball 25 yards out, threw off his tight marker and turned the ball onto his left foot before driving a looping shot home and for the second successive week clinched  the points for Bramham
