Westbrook 2 Bramham 2
25 February 2009

Bramham travelled to Lawnswood to face Westbrook and were faced with a strong wind blowing across a sloping pitch. Every player rose to the challenge and started brightly and took the lead after 15 minutes when Jason Wright turned neatly in the box and was brought down for a penalty which he converted confidently.

Westbrook got back into the match when Bramham twice failed to clear and conceeded from close range. With half time approaching Bramham were awarded a free kick 25 yards from goal and following a sweet strike from Jason Wright which hit the post, Andy Linyard was quickest to react and put Bramh into a 2 1 lead at the break. This was only what they deserved as they were clearly the better team in the first half.

Westbrook were more threatening in the second half and scored a fine goal after good play down their right wing. Either side could have won the game in the final stages but Bramham were good vale for their point as they battled hard all afternoon. Special mentions for Matty Dodsworth and Joe Collins who were outstanding on the day
