Ripon Red Arrows 2 Bramham Res 7
21 February 2009

Tosh Maltby took over in goal in the absence of Rob Lockhart, and there was a start for Neil Apps at left back. Dave Easby returned after missing last weeks fixture against Hampsthwaite.

Bramham had the better of the early exchanges but against the run of play found themselves a goal down after 10  minutes, but as the game swung back and forth goals from Jacklyn, Hurrell and Wild put them in command by the half hour mark.

Ripon always carried a threat moving forward and grabbed a goal back just before the interval, but Bramham were good value for their lead and only some fine work in the home sides goal stopped  the visitors from being further ahead.

In the second half Ripon came forward in waves but some solid defending, good work by Maltby and the calming influence of Reynolds kept them at bay.

On the counter Bramham were simply devastating and smashed in a further 4 goals which saw Wild complete his hat trick, Hurrell a second and Easby  also on the scoresheet.

On this occassion the result did not flatter Bramham, who looked a well drilled side against opponents who themselves still have aspirations of a promotion berth.
