Bramham ravaged  by injuries travelled up the A1 with just 11 players, two of whom were carrying knocks to face a Bedale Team that had inflicted an 8 -1 home defeat on them just a few weeks ago.

In the absence of Paul Firth, Mick Wright took charge at short notice and mustered together a team for the first time in over a year

So critical is the Bramham injury and absecne list that prolific striker Wright was not fit for an outfield role and pulled on the keepers jersey.

The return of Wright to the dressing room was evident as he detailed roles and responsibilities for the afternoon and sent out his belagured troops.

It was clear from the first whistle that every man had pulled on the Bramham Jersey with a new found sene of pride, as they stormed into a two goal lead within 15 minutes, through Fisher and Linyard.

Bedale struck back before more Bramham pressure forced an own goal only to see Bedale level the match at 3 3 at the break.

The second half continued in a competetive spirit with Bramham having two decent chances to grab the points  but a draw was a fair result.

Wrights infectious enthusiasm for the game  and the respect in which he is held was abundantly obvious on the field as to a man the Bramham  team wore the jersey with pride and were never going to lose on the day.
