Bramham Res 4 Hampsthwaite 1
04 January 2009

Bramham made light work of some difficult conditions underfoot despite going a goal down after 10 minutes. They came to terms with the tricky surface and played some bright open football and dominated much of the game.

Bramham had hurried through the signing of Sam Wild from Pool in midweek and got clearance for him to play and he had an impressive debut scoring one and involved in much of the attacking play, shielding the ball well and picking out colleagues.

Easby turned in a bright first half performance scoring Bramhams opener and Roberts was always involved, prompting and creating. Bowden was once again immaculate at Centre half, snuffing out the rare Hampsthwaite break aways.

A thoroughly deserved victory for Bramham with Roberts and Jones also on the scoresheet, but Hampsthwaite have the chance for revenge next week when the two sides clash again in the Spa Cup on the Stray ( 1.30).
