Bramham 1 Pateley Bridge 3

Bramham's depleted first team squad put up a brave show against high flyers Pateley Bridge.

With just eleven players at Kick off this fixture was allways going to be an uphill struggle against the team who have only dropped points in two fixtures so far this season.

It was Pateley Bridge who took a first half advantage when slight confusion in the heart of the Bramham defense left Pateley with the simple task of slotting past a stranded keeper.

Bramham worked very hard and created good oportunities for Firth , Wright and then Linyard before they eventually got their deserved equaliser with a superd individual goal for goal machine Jason Wright just after half time.

Bramham could have gone on to win this game but for a ridiculous refereeing decision. Having had a football, that was not being used for the game, smashed towards him from the touchline, John Carrier kicked the ball back towards the touchline "Slightly to aggressiveley" and was red carded by the official wearing black (I won't call him a referee)

From that point on the game was allways beyond Bramhams reach and with both centre halves carrying injuries it was no surprise when Pateley took advantage of a couple of defensive errors.

Good displays from Tosh Maltby & Danny Ewen but man of the match this saturday was goalkeeper Mark Tasker who was absoluteley outstanding. Mark pulled off save after save to keep the score respectable, one of the best goalkeeping displays I have ever seen!

No point updating the player stats!!!
