Catterick 2 Bramham Res 0
21 December 2008

Once again the reserves were on the road for the long trip to high flying Catterick.

Quick out of the blocks Bramham could have demolished the home side in the first 20  minutes, with 5 golden chances slipping away. Thereafter the wrting was on the wall as Catterick took the lead from a free kick during their only attack in the opening phases.

Two more chances were squandered and inexplicably Catterick went in 2 goals up in a half during which they were rarely in the game.

Hurrell, Robson and Jacklyn ran riot  and the effectivenes of Lockharts long ball had the home defence overstretched time and again. In defence Bowden was a collosus, sniffing out everything in the air.

The second half again saw Bramham have the lions share of the possesion but the home side were more solid and chances were few and far between.

Bramham continued to press but this was not to be their day and had they taken just a few of their chances they would have run out easy winners, but this game is about goals and credit to Catterick for making the most of the few opportunities that fell their way.
