12th Man knocks Bramham out of BA Cup

Bramham were eventually knocked out of the Barkston Ash cup with a lot of help from Kippax Athletics 12th Man

A very tight first half saw Bramham go in at half time 0-0 against the West Yorkshire League division one strugglers

Bramham came out for the second half and immediately imposed their superiority creating some very good chances and eventually scoring what appeared to be their opening goal. Jason Wright rolled the ball forward for Matty Fisher to run onto from behind Wrights shoulder, Fisher slipped the ball past the Kippax keeper only to be given off-side!!

The Referee could do nothing about Bramhams eventual opener, John Carrier one on one with the keeper savagely axed down inside the box, red card surely, no just  a penalty!! cooly converted by Jason Wright for his 10th goal of the season

Then the most controvercial incident of the match. A very rare Kippax forward move ended with the ball rolling towards the Bramham goal, Craig Buist cooly cleared the ball for a throw in only for the referee to award a goal claiming the ball had crossed the line!! What made the decision even more strange was that no Kippax player appealed for a goal and he made his decision from 35 yards away!!

Bramham eventually conceded a decisive goal allowing Kippax to take their place in the last four. This was far from Bramhams best display of the season although they deserved must better treatment from this very poor referee.

Kippax will find the semi final much tougher because surely the Barkston Ash will never allow another Kippax referee to take charge of this Kippax team in the last four.
