Firsts Smash in Six

Bramham turned on the style against a very good Eccleshall Utd side.

With Jason Wright stuck in heavy traffic Manager Paul Firth decided to start up front and the intention was to come off as soon as Jason Arrived, However a very early injury to John Carrier meant that the reluctant striker had to stay on a little longer than expected.

It was Firth who opened the scoring and then added a second playing against a very strong head wind in the first half, in fact it was only a very dodgy offside decision that denied Firth a first half Hat-trick. Jason Wright added a third before half time to go in 3-0 up.

Having destroyed the Eccleshall game plan The manager took himself off just after half time (saving himself for bigger matches to come!!) and introduced Andy Linyard to the action who added two goals of his own in the second half. A final goal was added late on to give Bramham a deserved 6-0 win.

You could be forgiven for thinking that this was a very poor Eccleshall team but that was not the case, Bramham simply outplayed this very talented  bunch of young players.

Every player played their part but special mentions for Matty Fisher who worked tirelessly all day and Domonic Boulton who just gives us that special bit of class in the midfield. Mark Tasker turned in a faultless performance and deserved his clean sheet.

Well done to everybody concerned. Just remember that this great 3 points must be followed up against Sherwood next week!!
