Reserves out of jail again
12 October 2008

It was a depleted Bramham side that travelled to Pool and found themseleves 2 goals down after just 15 minutes as the home side threatened to run riot.

In the absence of Carrier on 1st team duty and Reynolds unavailable the visitors back line was rocking from the first whistle as Robinson and Farthing tried to get to grips with their new roles.

As the half progressed Hurrell had a fine effort tipped around the post and Bramham eventually got a fooothold in the game, the half time whistle was nevertheless welcome allowing Jacklyn to rally his troops.

They were a revelation in the second half and Pool were back on their heals, forced into a 5 man back line to try and stem the white tide as Bramham swarmed over the home goal.

Pool remained solid despite the increasing pressure but then Nick Jacklyn released a thunderbolt volley into the top corner on 75 minutes and within ten minutes Bramham were level as Hurrell headed home from close range to set up a tense finale, with Bramham seeking the winner.

A draw was a fair result on the day and once again Bramham got out of jail, salvaged a point and maintained their unbeaten start to the season.

As Farthing got to terms with his new role he looked a commanding figure, skilful and with the ability to read the game, a real fine in a gutsy Bramham performance.
