Achievements
We have been quietly making changes which we believe are for the better through the open space and the rest of the estate. To date, these are our achievements!
- Five new litter bins (and yes, they are being used and emptied!)
- The street lamps in the open space have been connected and now work
- Crocuses and daffodils have been planted around the open space and on the roundabout in the middle of the estate
- Wild flower seeds have been sewn in patches through the open space
- The boardwalk has been built by the pond
- We have picked up truckloads of litter
- Dens have been removed
- Residents have planted hanging baskets to take home
- Home Watch has been set up on Wood Sorrel Way
- Play Days have shown just how many children use the park
- Park plans have been drawn up with the Township's play sub-group
- We have raised awareness of the open space with residents, wildlife trusts and the relevant council bodies
All this is set to continue, promoting Braithwaite Park as a pleasant and safe environment for the community to enjoy.
