Cross Country

On Monday 10th Feb 2014 the Boroughbridge Sport Cluster had their cross country competition.
This was expected to be the largest competition of the year as it is the only competition where we have all children from year 1 to year 6 competing.
The event witnessed nearly 400 children come to participate in the run, which was fantastic to see so many children participating in competative sport.
Once again we were assited by the young leaders from Boroughbridge high school who acted as marshalls, finish line support staff and race 'pace makers'. These young leaders have assisted with all sport compeitions this year and offer vital assistance with the competitions whilst learning invaluable leadership skills.
The races got away at 1.45 on a beautiful sunny February day. The children had to deal with difficult conditions underfoot - with many children finishing dottered with muddy splash marks!
After 6 fantastic races the results meant that every school from the cluster will be represented at the Partnership finals! The top places school will go through for either boys or girls for each year group as well as the top 6 finishers!
Well done to all children who participated!
it wasn't easy and it was fun!!!!!!!
It helped me to not give up!!!!!!!!
for hockey moves.
