Kwik Cricket Competition

This years Kwik Cricket competition took place at Boroughbridge High School in May.
At this competition we saw all 7 schools from the cluster come to take part in an afternoon of sport. Overall we have over 200 children participate in the event with six action packed cricket pitches witnessing the action.
The first semi final involved Boroughbridge Primary playing Great Ouseburn. This was a close match, however Great Ouseburn booked the first place in this years final.
The second semi final saw Long Marston play against Roecliffe. Once again this match was very close but Long Marston came away as the victors.
Therefore we had a final with Long Marston playing Great Ouseburn. The final was an excellent match, and a particularly big well done goes out to Long Marston who had a team with all but one year 3's and 4's.
At the end of the match Great Ouseburn where crowned champions for a second year running. No doubt helped by their two yorkshire cricket players.
Well done to all teams involved and good luck to the teams going through to represent us at the partnership finals.
