Year 5/6 Quick Sticks Hockey Final

On Monday 26th November we saw the Year 5/6 Quicksticks Hockey competition take place.
In the previous last two years the cluster has been the home of the Level 3 North Yorkshire School Games Champion. Therefore their was a lot of excitment around this compeition.
The tournament was a popular event with 6 of the schools being represented. As a result we had 20 teams take part in the compeition.
Round robin - in the first stage of the tournament the teams were split into 4 pools of 5 teams. In order to progress the teams had to win this pool.
The children demonstrated a high level of skill during this stage. But only the winners could progress.
This set up two semi finals
1. Great Ouseburn A vs Marton Cunm Grafton
2. Great Ouseburn B vs Boroughbridge
The level of skill, determination and passion that was highlighted during the matches was fantastic. But by the blow of the final whistle we had an all Ouseburn final set up.
During the final, the Great Ouseburn A team overcame their B team to be crowned victors!
Can the cluster do the treble in March?
