The Perfume Pixie….
There’s an ad. on the telly for a perfume called Miu Miu. I putter about perfume ads - whatever they say and whatever images they present to the viewer, they can’t get across how the perfume smells. So – what’s the point?
I saw the Miu Miu ad. and thought – the implication is that it’ll make you smell like old books – a library - not the most appealing smell and likely to make me sneeze.
Then, I was watching the ad. and caught myself thinking….’I wonder what it smells like?’ then thinking …’My God – it worked, a perfume ad. has worked on me!’
I’m not going to go and see if they’ll let me smell it in Boots, but it did catch my interest. I think maybe because…… instead of presenting a load of un-naturally skinny young women, walking funny…

….the images are of an odd little pixie person, kind-of ‘haunting’ a library.
Much more appealing to me and my way of being.
