Voting - Matters….

Fraiku: Democracy

When winning is more
important than voting
we all lose

Things are going to get a little political for the next couple of months as we in the United States hold our general election. The first step for all my readers who are citizens of the U.S.A. is to register to vote and make sure you're still registered.

(A lot of people are being purged from the voting rolls so double-check your registration at vote.gov or, if you don't trust the government, vote.org.)

Since I just moved, I had to update my registration. I'm crossing my fingers that the paperwork will be processed in time. Fortunately, I stayed within my county, merely switching precincts.

I am a firm believer that the more people vote, the better the outcome for us all. Alas this is no longer a widely held view.”

I wrote this before our last General Election..... http://www.spanglefish.com/berniesblog/blog.asp?blogid=16845 The Government did change - the vote is still out on how much difference that will make in the long run.

All we, the public, can do is PAY ATTENTION and....VOTE!!!
