Space/Time Continuum….

Space/Time Continuum….

Some people might be wondering

Why The Ness is getting funding

When very soon

It’s going to close down

Post-excavation work’s as taxing

As digging, sorting, boxing

And Education

Adds a dimension

Of its own

One kind of work is closing

While other strands

Are opening –

Spreading

It’s on-going

On and on…

The People of The Ness

Will change -

Exchange

Their knowledge

Endlessly

Publication

Replacing excavation

Knowledge moves -

Like in a game of chess

Of equal interest

To the present

As the past twenty years - no less

At The Ness.

Excavate –

Investigate –

Educate.

 From Kilmorack Gallery….

“Happy August. It is a busy time of year, both for our artists and here in Kilmorack where a further three exhibitions now hang. We have twelve new paintings and sculptures by James Newton Adams with a catalogue to accompany them.

We also have fresh garden inspired work from Shona Barr, new work from Lizzie Rose and (soon to arrive) four new elemental Shetland works by Peter Davis and, just arrived, four fresh sculptures from illona Morrice.

Other exhibitions have been extended, so it is still possible to see works by Becs Boyd, Pinkie Maclure, Robert McAulay and Christine Woodside.

If you are looking for anything specific, please contact us... there is often much more from our stable of artists on exhibition, or filed away in our vaults and we would be happy to make it available or to offer advice."
