On site, among other informative demonstrations, Jeanne Bouza-Rose will take time out from her exhibition at Northlight Gallery….

…to show again how versatile the ancient folk might have been when it came to producing art with what they found in the world around them….

I particularly like the poppy-heads used to print patterns – very ‘flower-power’!

Chris Gee actually makes carved stone balls….

Dreaming Again…..

I had a dream in which I was at some kind of exhibition at the Pier Arts Centre…..

https://www.pierartscentre.com/

One set of exhibits was….

Someone had taken images of the land  and super-imposed images of parts of human anatomy on them.   Semi-transparent, but not ‘ghostly’.

The first one was a map with hands - two hands - one placed lightly over the other – placed on the land.  Solid, workaday hands – slightly browned and weathered.

The second was an aerial view of a hill, with a human back on it – knobbles of vertebrae could be seen as the back curved with the hill.

The third was a vale - a gentle vale - with a face looking up out of it – the eyes very clear and bright.

I liked these images and thought I’d post them in m’blog for if anyone might be interested in doing something like that?

You might be thinking - why don’t I do it myself?  I have no idea how to and, at this stage in my life, have no inclination to learn how.  I’ve not stopped learning, but I’m mostly learning how to manage my time and energy these days.

The images did look good, and I hope that I’ve described them well enough to get the idea across - the idea being  - human presence in and on the land.
