Road Trip update 2
06 March 2008
After waking in Bude with a bit of a fuzzy head we decided to walk into town and find a cafe to have some breakfast. On the was we stopped in a surf shop (Zuma Jays) to have a looksy and the guy in there ended up giving us a gift for the sportsmans. top bloke. We left Bude and headed down to Plymouth Argyle to see if there was anything else clubs would donate to our cause. After a fairly long drive through Devon and Dartmoor National Park we ended up in Plymouth. After a bit of consuion, we ended up at the stadium and started blagging. Again we got another gift. Sweet. This has now become our new aim of the holiday, visit as many club shops as we can and see if they will donate anything to our sportsman dinner.
We then took a short trip over to Torquay (we love you Hells Bells) and again got another gift. This is easy. Yeovil matched them and now we have a little goody bag of footballing merchandise.
We arrived at Bournemouth to late to visit the club shop, so decided to call it a night. After finding a hotel and obviously blagging a discount we went out for a few sherberts. Little did we know it was student night, and only £1.50 a pint. Its needless to say it was messy, and this is proved by the  look of the girl Jonny pulled. Good night... Again another morning, another hangover.
As we travelled to Joels we decided to stop in at St Marys and see if they would give us anything. After a bit of going backwards and forwards from the club shop to reception we finally got our hands on another gift. And of course since we had been to Southampton we couldnt miss out Pompey. Our first premiership club of the trip. But they did themselves justice and gave us 3 things. Although they dont often play eash other, Pompey beat Southampton this time.
Again time  was getting on and we decided to call it a night and head to joels................

MILES TRAVELLED = 889 miles

We followed the route and headed for Bournemouth AFC. A club who we didnt realise was in administration and couldnt wait to see the back of us after asking 'Have you got ought free for our sportsmans mate?'. We left Bournemouth empty handed.
Our trip then took a bit of a detour when we decided we wanted to go and have a look at the wonder that is Stonehenge. 40 mins drive out of our way and £6.30 to get in, we kind of wished we hadn't . But it was on the list. Job done.
