It was the time of year again when Bedale first and second team meet to decide who has bragging rights for the forthcoming season.

Again it was a lovely day and both teams looked prepared for the 90 minute onslaught.

As the game started the second team struggled to find their feet and their goal was peppered with Ben Heugh making some outstanding saves, maybe a first team contender????

The seconds did extremely well and went into half time at 0-0.

The second half begun, and the seconds realised their potential when Jonny Coombs threaded a pin point ball through a maze of bodies to find Matty Al running through on goal to slot the ball past a helpless Dean Hudson.

The seconds then took the game by the scruff of the neck and had chance after chance to take the game away from the 1st team. But as we always seem to do, we failed to convert our chances.

We approached the last five minutes and two goals from (judas) Rob Tit and the Fridge gave the first team all bragging rights for the next twelve months.

All credit must go to the seconds for a passionate, hard fought and impressive performance.
