Last night the Teesside Football League held their Annual General Meeting. An application made by Bedale to join the league was successful and alongside Thirsk Falcons and Lingdale will play in division 2 next season.

The League is a recognised Senior League as sanctioned and affillated to the North Riding County F.A.

The decision to apply to the league followed a recent committee meeting whereby the suggestion to move to the Teesside league was proposed by Mr S Reed. The first team manager suggested that Bedale should offer its players the highest level of football and the committee agreed unanimously.

Alongside Thirsk, Bedale's other local derby will be Northallerton Academy with our furthest travels being to Marske and Redcar.

The season commences on Saturday the 18th August.
